I'm Nicola Di Santo, a computer engineer based in Italy. I work primarily in data engineering and backend systems, with a focus on building reliable, scalable pipelines and architectures.

My background is deeply rooted in theory — algorithms, distributed systems, machine learning, and formal methods — and I find that solid foundations make all the difference when tackling real engineering challenges. I approach practical problems with the same rigor I'd apply to a research question: understand the constraints, reason about the tradeoffs, then build something that actually works.

This blog is where I write about things I find interesting or useful: data systems, algorithms, ML experiments, and occasional deep dives into problems I've solved at work.

If you're working on something interesting and think I could help — whether as a consultant, collaborator, or contractor — feel free to reach out.
